The evening and the morning weren’t measured by sunrise and sunset in the creation days. The creation days were from “evening to “morning”, and nowadays we think of a day as morning to evening. The Jewish day begins at sundown, but in the first four creation days there was no sun.

Gen 1:3-5 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the FIRST DAY.

Gen 1:14-19 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the FOURTH DAY

So how do we KNOW that the creation days were literal 24-HOUR DAYS? The earth rotates on its axis once every 24 hours, but there was no sunset and sunrise for measurement for the first three days.

Belief in a LITERAL 24 hour creation day is not necessary for salvation, unless YOU make it so for YOURSELF.<ぐ颵ᇏ芻ꨀ봀௎scroll>

ALL OF THAT TO SAY THIS
Ps 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Pet 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

We can pretty well KNOW when Jesus will come again for His saints, the CHURCH. We cannot know the HOUR but we can know the “approximate time

Hosea 6:1-2 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After TWO DAYS will he revive us: in the THIRD DAY he will raise us up, (Israel) and we shall live in his sight.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Israel was dispersed in the year 70 A.D. The Lord God put Israel on the “back burner” and is now calling out the Gentiles for a Name for Himself until the “…fulness of the Gentiles be come in”. He has been doing this for some 2000 years/TWO DAYS and then He will Rapture the CHURCH and turn his attention back to the JEWS once more.

Rom 11:26-28 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Israel has been smitten by the Lord for the last TWO DAYS/two thousand years, but in the THIRD DAY (the Millennium reign of Christ) He will heal them. (raise them up) and they shall “live in His sight” ON THIS EARTH, because Jesus will physically rule from the Holy City Jerusalem.

Another Word of understanding.
John 4:40-42 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there TWO DAYS.(with the Gentiles) And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

John 4:43 Now after “two days” he departed thence, and went into Galilee. (a region of Palestine)

Folks, our time here on this earth is short. I believe that people ALIVE in THIS GENERATION will see His Coming

The calendar we use now is the Gregorian calendar, but the calendar has been changed a number of times since the Birth of Christ and we cannot know FOR SURE what year A.D. this is.

Israel became a Nation/political state on May 14^th 1948. A Nation Israel had to be in existence for the wicked prince of Dan 9:26 to make “a covenant with many” (Jews)

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

A Prophecy of Time
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people (the Hebrews) and upon thy holy city, (Jerusalem) to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

There is 70 WEEKS OF YEARS until ‘TIME WILL BE NO MORE”.<ぐ颵ᇏ芻ꨀ봀௎scroll>

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Here we have 7 weeks plus threescore/60 weeks plus 2 weeks for a total of 69 WEEKS of years to the coming of Christ.

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

From the GOING FORTH of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem; BEFORE work was started as found in the book of Erza

Ezra 1:1-3 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

The above verse was the “going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem”.

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined

Threescore and two weeks are 62 weeks of years. (434 years) We are 7 weeks of years short of the prophecy of Dan 9:24. I believe the prophecy stopped after 69 weeks, because the Jews as a Nation rejected the Messiah; so we are still short 6 weeks of years or 42 years. I don’t know for sure how many years it took to rebuild Jerusalem, the walls, and the habitations therein AFTER the commandment was given. (Ezra 1:1-3) The work was completed AFTER the commandment was given but the prophecy was at the GOING FORTH of the commandment.

Also we must remember that Christ died at somewhere around 33 years of age; so then we are short around 16 years to total out the missing 6 weeks of years. (42 years)

I believe Jesus Christ will come for His saints sometime before this generation NOW living on this earth passes away.

Matt 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The fig tree. A frequent Biblical symbol of the nation of Israel (Jer 24; Joel 1:6-7; Hos 9:10). Jesus also had used this figure previously (Lk 13:6). The peculiar trait of the tree mentioned earlier (Matt 21:19-20) is that fruit and leaves appear at about the same time; when leaves are present, summer is near. Jesus thus associated a revitalized (to bring back into being) nation with the approach of these prophetic events. THIS generation shall not pass away.

The generation that saw the formation of a Nation Israel on May 14^th 1948, (some may live to be over 100 years old or older), may, and probably will be, ALIVE ON THIS EARTH when Jesus comes again.
