Minuteman Project Pushes Back

by Victor Thorn

"I am going to Tombstone on Friday (April 1, 2005) to tell those good citizens they (the Minutemen) are heroes, not 'vigilantes,' and that tens of millions of Americans are there with them in spirit," said Tancredo.

You can only push some people so far, and then they start pushing back. A perfect case in point is the Minuteman Project. Based in Arizona and led by former Vietnam veteran Jim Gilchrist, the Minutemen will set up 50 outposts from Douglas, Arizona to Tombstone, and will do the job that our federal government has failed in doing for us. The reason for this action is obvious: for years the residents of California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and beyond had been demanding that something be done about the illegal immigration problem that is decimating this nation. Due to their inactivity, our elected “leaders” have pushed these individuals to their breaking point, and now the Minutemen are pushing back!

Naturally, all those who can see the much larger New World Order forces at work manipulating this issue behind the scenes fully support this grass-roots organization. As well they should, for an overwhelming amount of evidence has been compiled that proves how much of a burden this crime wave has placed on our health care system, social services infrastructure, and prison system (to name just a few). The situation has spiraled so far out of control that advocates want to give these lawbreakers driver’s licenses, medical cards, welfare benefits, and voting rights.

To compensate, Gilchrist wants the Border Patrol to not only increase security, he also wants those in Washington, D.C. to put a ten-year moratorium on illegal immigration, and to limit those legally entering this country each year to 200,000. We couldn’t agree more, especially in light of one indisputable fact: ILLEGAL means “breaking the law.” There’s no disputing it. How much more obvious could it be? Yet tens of millions of these people are breaking American laws, and our government continues to give them a green light. Whose best interests are being served here?

This point is extremely important, because when it comes to the Terri Schiavo case; both George and Jeb Bush have refused to step in because they say “we’re a nation of laws.” All right, fair enough; but you can’t have it both ways. If you want to adhere to our laws, enforce them in regard to illegal immigration! Their hypocrisy is appalling, especially when we’re bleeding billions of dollars each month to keep our nation “safe from terrorism,” while our borders are more porous than a sieve.

Last week, President Bush went one step further by saying that he stood in stark opposition to the Minuteman Project. “I’m against vigilantes in the United States of America,” he chimed, his strings obviously being pulled by corporate heads that exploit cheap labor and don’t have to pay taxes on their employees. In addition are the New World Order luminaries who are intent on eroding our national sovereignty. Bush continued, “I’m for enforcing the law in a rational way. It’s why we’ve got a Border Patrol, and they ought to be in charge of enforcing the border.”

Chris Simcox, a Minuteman organizer, responded to this statement by saying, “We challenge the president to join us and see for himself what’s really going on.”

And he’s right. Our troops in Iraq are patrolling their borders better than our own borders are being protected. It’s absurd, and that’s why the Minuteman Project is so necessary. They have to push back, and it’s about time!

Regrettably, forces are at work in opposition to the Minutemen, namely:

1) Mexican President Vicente Fox, who said he would, “Take action in U.S. courts or international tribunals if any activists break the law.” Can you believe it? A foreign president threatening to use U.S. laws to help foreign lawbreakers enter our country. He’s insane! Why doesn’t George Bush tell this cretin to shove it?

2) The ACLU, which wants to insure that the “rights” of illegal aliens are not violated. The last time I checked, I thought the ACLU was an American-based organization. What about the rights of all those whose property is destroyed, whose person is violated, or whose tax-dollars are sapped by this epidemic? Don’t they have any rights?

3) The Central American-based Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang, which has vowed to “teach a lesson” to the Minutemen volunteers. In response, Jim Gilchrist proclaimed, “We’re not worried because half of our recruits are retired trained combat soldiers, and those guys are just a bunch of punks.”

We couldn’t applaud Mr. Gilchrist and the Minuteman Project more. They’re fed-up with illegal immigration, and now they’re pushing back. Likewise, ALL OF US need to mirror their efforts, so:

If you’re tired of unfair IRS taxation --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of all the 9-11 lies --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of our criminal judicial system --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of the high price of gasoline --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of our bureaucratic psychopathic legislators in D.C. --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of the mainstream media’s distortion of the truth --- PUSH BACK!
If you’re tired of Terri Schiavo being starved to death --- PUSH BACK!

Do you get it? It’s time for us to start showing THEM that they work for us, not vice versa.
